Making Pet Products Easy to Choose: Studio Lifestyle Content for a National Retailer
Petmania partnered with Verver for studio shoots focused on their pet product ranges, particularly beds. The goal was to create clear, lifestyle-driven imagery that would help customers choose the right size and style, while giving the Petmania team a simple, low-effort production experience. Verver provided a fully styled, “shoot-ready” studio environment, model dog photography, and a volume of consistent assets for web and digital use.
About the Brand

Petmania is a well-known Irish pet retail brand with stores nationwide and a strong online presence. Their ranges include beds, accessories, and lifestyle products designed to support both pets and their owners.
As their product lines expanded and more customers shopped online, Petmania needed imagery that did more than show a product on a white background—they needed visuals that clarified scale, comfort, and context.
The Challenge
For many pet owners, choosing the right bed online can be difficult. Petmania identified several key issues:
Scale & Sizing Confusion
Beds came in multiple sizes, and standard product shots didn’t give customers a clear sense of how each size related to their dog.
Limited Internal Production Capacity
The team wanted strong product lifestyle imagery but didn’t have time or resources to organise locations, props, styling and set builds.
Need for a Repeatable Solution
They wanted a partner who could handle everything—from set styling to editing—so they could simply send product and receive ready-to-use assets.
Verver’s role was to provide a turnkey studio solution that delivered clarity for the customer and ease for the marketing team.
Our Approach
1. A Streamlined, Studio-First Setup
Verver provided a shoot-ready studio environment, including:
- Simple, clean sets designed to keep the product as the hero
- Styling that reflected Petmania’s brand tone without distracting from the items
- All prop sourcing and set preparation handled in-house
The marketing manager attended the first shoot to see the process and give input. Once satisfied with the approach, future work was as simple as shipping product to the studio.
2. Size & Scale Storytelling
To address the sizing challenge, we focused on imagery that clearly communicated scale:
- Pet Model PhotographyAnimals (provided by Petmania) were photographed on and beside the beds, giving customers a real-world reference for sizes
- Stacked Bed ImagesBeds in multiple sizes were stacked and arranged together so customers could visually compare dimensions at a glance.
This approach turned product images into decision-support tools, not just decoration.
3. Lifestyle Product Imagery at Volume
Within each shoot, we aimed for efficiency and breadth:
- On-brand lifestyle product images in studio
- Clean compositions suitable for web, digital campaigns, and social cropping
- Consistent lighting and background treatment for a uniform catalogue look.
Deliverables
From our shoots, Verver delivered:
- In-studio lifestyle imagery of pet products, including beds and related items
- Web-ready and high-resolution files for each product
- Lifestyle photography with dog model for selected ranges, aligned with sample references from Petmania
- Studio set design, styling and prop sourcing handled entirely by Verver
- Editing and optimisation of all final imagery for web and digital use

Results
Better Customer Clarity
Imagery showing dogs on beds and beds stacked by size made it easier for customers to choose the right product online.
Reduced Internal Workload
The Petmania team could avoid the logistical overhead of sets, props and location sourcing—simply sending product and approving results.
Consistent, Reusable Assets
The images can be used across the website, email marketing, social media, and digital advertising, supporting multiple campaigns from a single shoot.
A Trusted Studio Partner
After seeing the process and results from the initial session, Petmania were able to treat Verver as an extension of their marketing team for subsequent content.
Conclusion
Petmania’s case study shows how a practical, well-planned studio setup can solve real e-commerce challenges—like size confusion—while making life easier for internal teams.
If you’re a retail or product brand looking for ready-made studio, styling, and pet-friendly production without building everything from scratch in-house, Verver can provide a complete solution—from concept to finished files.
